SoCal Music Magazine Distributed at Austin Festival
(PRWeb) March 9, 2007 -- While taking in the multitude of music acts from around the world and viewing the finest independent films, patrons of this year's South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW) can take home something more - a copy of MusicMatters Magazine.
To celebrate this year's festival and the Southern Californian bands that will be performing there, MusicMatters will publish an additional 5,000 copies of its March/April issue to distribute at the festival. "Although we are primarily a magazine dedicated to the SoCal scene, we feel that there is an audience for what we do outside of Los Angeles and San Diego," says editor Jen Hilbert. "And there are always a ton of SoCal bands that perform at (SXSW) every year."
One of those bands that is performing this year is San Diego-based Earthless. The three piece group is known for its long, instrumental, rock 'n' roll explorations that create a cosmic, sonic experience. The magazine will also have a feature article on rap icons Public Enemy, who will also be performing at SXSW.
MusicMatters is an all-gloss print, full-color magazine that focuses on stories about the Southern California music and art scene. The magazine publishes six times a year and is available for free at various outlets and special events in Southern California. The online version of the magazine can be viewed at www.sdmusicmatters.com. The magazine focuses on the music, art and culture of Southern California.
For More information regarding the magazine or to schedule an interview with the publisher or editor, please call Jen Hilbert at 858.581.6280, or email.
