Scot Music Video Director Comes to U.S.

Prescott, AZ (PRWeb) March 23, 2007 -- Renowned Scottish music video director, Scotskid, is coming to Prescott Arizona to direct a music video. It all began when Prescott area singer-songwriter Woody Woodham discovered Scotskid through the My Space web site.

"I was very impressed with the Sunrise music video he did for the Fab's," says Woody. "I sent him an email, he listened to my songs and offered to shoot the whole thing for free if I would help him with his expenses while he was here so we made a deal."

Woody's credits include opening for many famous alternative acts in the 80's to a more recent performance on NPR's Folk Sessions Live radio program. A few years ago, Woody's song, "Doing Business With a Gun" was the subject of a controversy when a popular San Diego radio station refused to run a promo ad for the song. Woody also wrote a song that was used on an episode of Leeza Gibbons show. Woody's upcoming CD entitled, "Tribal Mentality", including the videos are scheduled for May release. Woody says he's had some great help putting the CD together including help from Johnny Low and Jerry Deluca from the Prescott band, "Poor Kids Without Cable', as well as Mike Lopez and Barrett Gardner from the world famous Phoenix band "32 Leaves."

Scotskid is originally from Linlithgow Scotland which, in Star Trek lore, is the birth place of the character 'Scotty' in the year 2222. Besides the infamous Fab's music video, Scotkid is best known for directing a very popular 'Parkour' video. Parkour is an extreme sport where practitioners move from point a to point b as directly and quickly as possible overcoming all obstacles along the way using nothing but physical skills. His videos can be viewed at youtube.com.
