Oodle Launches Two Applications on Facebook Platform: 'WantList' for Personalized Classified Listings and 'BandTracker' for Music

San Francisco (PRWEB) May 24, 2007 -- Oodle, the best way to find great deals with classifieds, today announced the launch of two applications built on Facebook Platform, which enables companies and developers to create applications for the Facebook website. Oodle’s applications provide Facebook users worldwide with the ability to share online classifieds through its “WantList” application, and to track and share information about bands and upcoming concerts with other users through “BandTracker.”

Facebook is a social utility that offers an efficient way for people to stay connected with their friends and people around them.

“Facebook Platform creates an ecosystem for developers to build applications that deeply integrate into Facebook and use its social graph,” said Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook. “By enabling developers to make applications within Facebook, we’re working together to create a better utility for millions of people.”

Oodle continues to transform the way consumers find great deals through classifieds, and is now making that experience more social by launching several new applications for Facebook users. Oodle’s “WantList” application enables Facebook users to share all the things they’re looking for with their friends – whether it is a new roommate, used scuba gear – or extra tickets to a concert that weekend. Oodle’s “BandTracker” application allows Facebook users to track over 200,000 bands, ensuring that they don’t miss their favorites when they come to town. “BandTracker” also allows users to share information about upcoming concerts with their friends.

“Classifieds are fundamentally a social experience, whether you are adopting kittens from your neighbor, or finding and sharing concerts with friends,” said Craig Donato, CEO of Oodle. “As part of Facebook’s robust platform, Oodle applications are enriching the overall social experience of Facebook users.”

Facebook users communicate and share information through the social graph, the network of connections and relationships between people. With more than 24 million active users, Facebook is the sixth-most trafficked website in the United States.
