A Night of Louisiana Music to showcase Grammy nominees from across the Bayou State on Saturday, Feb. 9 at The Mint in Los Angeles

A Night of Louisiana Music will bring together an unparalleled group of Bayou State nominees for the 50th annual Grammy Awards on the eve of the big event. This year's Grammy nominees from Louisiana span a wide range of categories - from blues to zydeco to video and beyond - and a Night of Louisiana Music will focus on their contributions withthe hat to
the inaugural nominees in the new "Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album"
category.
"We couldn't be more excited to bring so many artists together to commemorate another great year in our musical history," notes Johnny Palazzotto. "A Night of Louisiana Music will showcase our many gifted Grammy-nominated artists doing what they do best: making great music together." A Night of Louisiana Music will focus special attention on Louisiana's six nominees in the new "Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album" category, which was many years in the making and the result of Cynthia and Terrance Simien's hard work and leadership.
A Night of Louisiana Music is also designed to help support the travel costs of the many Louisiana artists nominated as part of the 50th annual Grammy Awards, and there's still time to lend your support to this unique event.
A Night of Louisiana Music is sponsored by the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism - Office of the Lt. Governor, Louisiana Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus, the Baton Rouge Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission, Republic National Distributing Company, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation and the Cajun French Music Association with additional support from Festival International de Louisiane, Associated Travel and Lowry's Printing.
