'Green With Music' Takes Eco-Consciousness to a Higher Note during the Grammy's

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 15, 2008 -- Dharmata PR and John Forrester Communications' 'Green With Music,' the all-green luxury gifting retreat & Spa for Grammy Stars, showcased the hottest eco-friendly products and services on February 8-9 in downtown Los Angeles. Grammy nominees including Evanescence and Eldar, Broadway star Shoshana Bean "Wicked," Reality TV vixen Omarosa "Celebrity Apprentice" and many others posed for "Green carpet" arrivals before enjoying their green gifting rejuvenation experience. www.greenwithmusic.com

'Green with Music' was staged within the gorgeous offices of The South Collection; L.A.'s only all green-eco-chic mixed used high-rise development. A 'Living Green Showcase' was created by designer Daniel Vandenbark, resulting in a stunningly sublime eco-ambiance. Gorgeous organic floral arrangements by The Spiraled Stem adorned the room. Guests indulged in the decadent organic raw food bar, made possible by Chef Rachel Carr of Cru Vegan restaurant in Silverlake. Further amenities included an organic tea bar, courtesy of Zhena's Gypsy Tea, Steaz energy drinks (made using organic Ceylon tea) Chocolates by Theo, cookies by Mani's bakery, and eco-frozen yogurt by SnoLA! The goodie bag was designed and provided by Mbary, using the all new eco-friendly Jute (a vegetable based fiber).

Eldar, the Grammy nominated jazz pianist, was the lucky winner of the main prize draw, a $20,000 Spa get-a-way package for 2 to a gorgeous new Eco-Spa in the Yukon Territory of Canada, courtesy of Perfect Earth Tours Eco Spa & Resort.

Guests of 'Green with Music' were further pampered in the Ayurvedic spa, located high above the City of Angels in one of the beautiful new South Collection condos and led by world-renowned Ayurvedic master, Dr. Light Miller. The spa was decked out in fabulous eco-grass, courtesy of AGL Grass & Landscaping. Treatments included four-handed massage, marma therapy, marma facelifts, Shirodhara, Ubvartan herbal facial scrubs, and natural hair/make-up. Also contributing to the Ayurvedic Spa were Robert and Melanie Sachs of Diamond Way Ayurveda, Corinna Schmidt of Maharani Ayurveda in Santa Barbara, and masseuse to the stars Nestor Ruiz. Meanwhile, Salon 11 tempted guests with ultra-pampering mani-pedi's and other equally spoiling indulgences impossible to turn down.

Conscious Benefactor sponsors included earth-friendly Shaklee, the first company in the world to obtain climate-neutral certification that has the capacity to totally offset CO2 emissions. Segway, the amazing human transport vehicle, proved to be a huge draw- providing non-stop rides and fun throughout the event. Considerable support was also provided by: Whole Life Times Magazine, Lime Network (Gaiam), The South Collection, Vernare, Perfect Earth Tours and Willis Allen; Sustainable California Ranches & Alternative Energy Farms.

A portion of all proceeds from Green With Music will benefit Make it Right, Brad Pitt's organization dedicated to creating affordable green housing in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans. The Lower 9th Ward is the area most affected by Hurricane Katrina and a deeply important part of our American heritage.
