As with many great partnerships, chocolate and caramel work exceptionally well too. It’s our sixth birthday, so as a big thank you to all our clients, we thought we’d celebrate by sharing a box of Charbonnel et Walker’s lightly dusted plain chocolate enrobed truffles. Founded in 1875, Charbonnel et Walker is one of Britain’s earliest chocolatiers. Encouraged by Edward VII, (then the Prince of Wales), the company first formed as a partnership between Mrs Walker and Mme. Charbonnel, the latter from the Maison Boissier chocolate house in Paris. Their original shop opened at 173 New Bond Street in Mayfair and has remained in Bond Street ever since.
So, a recipe perfected over the years and even endorsed by the Royal Warrant. Happy birthday. Dusted.
