Absolute Aromas launches new spa brand

Dusted have been working in partnership with Absolute Aromas over the past few months to create a full brand look & feel for a new range of premium health & beauty products for the day spa industry.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it’s been very rewarding to work across the complete range of products including the visual identity, naming, bottle designs, packaging, product brochure and their stand design at the Professional Beauty Show 2015.

Absolute are known worldwide for supplying some of the purest and highest quality products in the health & beauty market. Their ranges use superior ingredients that are carefully selected from all over the world and then blended by hand here in England. All products are 100% natural and carry the purest essential oils available.

After meeting the Absolute team and seeing the facilities where the aromas are blended, we started our creative process in ernest. We aimed to create a design concept that felt true to the business, the product and that was distinctive in a saturated, competitive marketplace.

The chosen creative theme is entitled ‘Bold simplicity’, an idea rooted in the very nature of the product itself and based upon two key themes. The first around the purity, simplicity, femininity and elegance of the tone the client is aiming to project. The second was to visually bring to life the fragrance of the aroma oil – an essentially strong and powerful quality. The look is created around contrasts, a design that is both striking and elegant.

The bold geometric pattern-based designs are inspired by classic English patterns like herringbone, dogtooth, the pinstripe and great interior and textile designers like William Morris. These patterns represent each fragrance in the range, split across body and face oils, with a soon to be launched range of everyday essentials including toners, scrubs and creams. A small hint of colour was added to the ranges to act as an accent and help spa professionals chose between body and face products.

The whole project has been a rewarding and refreshing experience and the Dusted team seem to be calmer, more collected and zen-like than ever before (if that’s possible). We look forward to helping launch the rest of the range over the coming months.
