Security moves fast. dormakaba sits at the centre, engineering the locks, readers and software that keep the modern world moving. Yet in a utilitarian access control market, every breakthrough risks sounding the same.
Following a successful post-merger rebrand, they asked us to inject difference, once again, across three high-stakes projects. skyra: a remote lock built for the middle of nowhere. Quantum Pixel+: friction-free room entry for five-star guests. And Architects Connect Summit: a live think-tank for the architects shaping tomorrow’s spaces.
We treated each launch like a chapter in the story of seamless access. Naming, positioning, visual language, film, collateral, social, stage — if it spoke, we shaped it. One brand. Three activations. Done & Dusted.
For Quantum Pixel+ we lifted the lid. Literally. CGI explodes the device mid-air, revealing the cutting-edge tech inside its sleek exterior. By contrast, images of sweeping, gallery-grade lobbies signal the places it belongs in. Luxury shouts quality. Pixel+ whispers precision. Together they promise friction-free access that feels as high-end as it looks.
We named the summit, defined its purpose and drew the “X” mark that morphed from logo to stage sculpture. The symbol became both a dynamic lens framing the visual content, threading through invites, backdrops, and social teasers.
Brochures, speaker decks and event graphics all echoed the theme of architecture’s digitisation, setting dormakaba at the centre of the access-innovation conversation.
Their creative eye allowed us to flex and push the dormakaba brand. Conceptual imagery. Sculptural close-ups. A freedom only this audience segment grants, propelling the brand into a creative, design-driven space.
When the audience switched to architects, we flipped the script. We turned precision hardware into a conversation piece, framing the future of access through a bold ‘X’ that invited experts in.
A first-of-its-kind infrastructure lock, remotely connected and commanded. It secures wind farms, towers and edge-of-nowhere assets others can’t reach. We branded and activated it, from naming, proposition and positioning, to launch campaign. Mist-bathed turbine hero shots, slick UI mock-ups, e-books and launch film all share one call: “open up a world of possibilities”. Horizon imagery meets precision product stills. Brochures, ads, social posts and site demos tell a story that carves out an entirely new category.
Activating a global brand starts with listening. We bounced between Zurich offices, London studios and Berlin venues, stitching together viewpoints from engineers, product leads and event producers. We immersed ourselves in their world, learning how a single design decision could ripple through production tooling, global catalogues, and factory workflows. We untangled complex architecture. Aligned hybrid structures. Balanced local nuance with global consistency. This was co-creation at scale. Deep, deliberate, and built on trust.
