Mermaid wins gold in MIMA Award

The Mermaid Centre scooped gold for best website at the Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) last night. Dusted designed and developed the new site last year so it was great to see all our hard work formally recognised amongst a highly competitive sector.

The judges praised The Mermaid site for ease of use and strong branding, making it a clear winner against competition from Woods River Cruises and Imago at Loughborough. The Mermaid’s marketing director, Theresa Swift, accepted the award and during the post presentation interview commented on the work we did, saying how well we had interpreted the brief and delivered such a highly effective on-line solution.

MIMA was launched in 2002 to raise the standards of marketing in the meetings and events industry and to recognise the marketeers. Organised by Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine, and held on the first day of National Meetings Week, the 2007 presentation dinner took place at The Science Museum’s IMAX theatre with 300 people attending the event.
