GlobalCapital came with weight. Over 38 years of authority in primary capital markets, built through trusted data, insight and a long-standing publication that shaped industry decisions. Its burgundy masthead became a recognisable signal in the market. Known. Respected. Embedded.
Then came acquisition. Brought into the Derivia Intelligence group, it needed to align with a new masterbrand system built for cohesion and scale. Our challenge was integrating without erasing. Modernising without losing recognition.
We built a new identity system to do exactly that. A refined GC identifier, evolved colour palette and modern typography, supported by a broader identity system spanning editorial, events, digital and communications. Connected to Derivia. True to GlobalCapital.
GlobalCapital carried the weight of its history. Dark burgundy. Conservative cues. A look shaped over nearly four decades. Derivia, by contrast, signalled something more modern. Digital. Fintech in tone and pace.
The answer was evolution. Burgundy was sharpened into a more vibrant red, holding recognition while increasing energy and cut-through. Blue from the Derivia palette was introduced with care, creating a clear visual link to the group.
The result is a system that respects what the market knows, while bringing it forward with clarity and confidence
